HobbyTron.com Makes New Move, Hires New Employees, and Launches New Site
HobbyTron.com makes move to new larger location, adds over 10 new employees and announces the launch of their new and improved website.
Online, October 27, 2010 (Newswire.com) - In late June of this year, Internet retailer HobbyTron.com moved from a small 30,000 sq.ft. warehouse in San Fernando, California just up the road to Santa Clarita to a huge mega sized warehouse. The new building is over three times the size of the old building, measuring over 100,000 sq. ft.
Ben Ibarra, Vice President of HobbyTron.com commented, "The move is an important one. It is not just a move for us, but for our customers as well." He went on to say that they have everything planned out on how to use the new space. Planned for next year is a product showroom where they will have one of everything that they sell on display for corporate executives, news reporters, and potential partners. Coming in 2011 will also be a liquidation store located at their new location in Santa Clarita. The store will have nearly every product that they sell on their website and will be open to the public. Ben tells us that, "This will be big because now they can get all of their favorite Airsoft and RC toys at much cheaper prices than anywhere online." They can now carry many more items so that backorders will be a thing of the past.
Along with the larger warehouse came a need for more employees. HobbyTron.com management has hired over 10 new employees and is looking to hire more. Kev Kouyoumjian, the owner of HobbyTron said that "it is a good sign that the economy is turning around when we need this many more employees just to fill our orders."
With the new hires comes new management. The addition of a new warehouse manager and a new marketing manager are taking HobbyTron in a new direction. With the move came a new warehouse design and new warehouse policies which have made everything run much more efficiently and effectively. The new marketing director is focusing a lot more on social media, so look for HobbyTron.com to show up on your favorite social networks offering special deals, coupon codes, contests and more. They currently have a large following on Facebook and YouTube.
Throw into the mix a brand new user friendly web site, and you might just have a recipe for success. "We designed our new site with the sole purpose of making it easier and faster for the customers to find what they are looking for," Ben said. It features a new menu style, enhanced search functionality, a product grouping feature that puts frequently bought items together, and more. In addition to these features, also new to the HobbyTron site is the ability for a customer to log in to their personal account where they can track orders, see past orders, create a wishlist, etc.
So in a nutshell, a new warehouse, new operational changes, more employees and a new updated website all center on making for a markedly improved customer experience.
