KBE Partners With OSHA for Seabury Repositioning and Expansion Project, Phases B & C
Construction company announces fourth OSHA partnership in three years
BLOOMFIELD, Conn., August 17, 2016 (Newswire.com) - To enhance jobsite safety on its latest senior living construction management project, KBE Building Corporation (KBE) has partnered with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for the fourth time in three years. Seabury, An Active Life Plan Community has chosen the $300 million construction firm to serve as the Construction Manager at Risk for Phases B and C of its Phased Campus Repositioning & Expansion Project in Bloomfield.
This new partnership is KBE’s third strategic partnership with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Hartford Area Offices to add to the existing partnership with the Bridgeport Area Office.

KBE has a well-earned reputation for providing the safest working environment for its employees and subcontractors. In 2015, KBE underwent eight OSHA inspections that resulted in zero citations. KBE racked up two million man-hours on 38 projects and only reported ten lost time accidents. This onsite incident rate is roughly 50% lower than the national average.
OSHA partnerships are designed to create the safest possible working environment for all subcontractors. KBE and OSHA utilize these partnerships by performing monthly safety awareness training for the onsite employees. The partnership also implements an onsite safety committee with all trades required to be involved and a third party training program for employees who require refresher training on scaffold, aerial lift, scissor lift, forklift, and much more. The partnership also requires all employees to have been through an OSHA 10 Hour training class within the last five years. These classes can be performed onsite for employees who have never attended this training or their training is about to expire.
