Online, May 14, 2014 (Newswire.com) - "Fairfield Gourmet Foods", parent company of "David's Cookies"/ www.davidscookies.com, is pleased to announce the acquisition of "Jeff's Gourmet Pies", a producer of premier cakes, bain-marie cheesecakes and gourmet pies in Tampa, Florida.
"Jeff's Gourmet Pies" operates out of its own 18,000 sq. ft. Bakery in Tampa, FL and will continue production at its current location. "Jeff's Gourmet Pies" will now also have full access to David's Cookies sales force and its state of the art facilities in Longwood, FL and Cedar Grove, NJ. This will enhance "Jeff's Gourmet Pies" production capacity thereby giving its customers greater flexibility and product variety.
"David's Cookies" and "Jeff's Gourmet Pies" have always been committed to offering their customers spectacular tasting, consistently fresh, and innovative varieties of desserts made
from the finest ingredients. This commitment will never waiver.
The addition of "Jeff's" product line selections to David's existing products will position "Fairfield Gourmet Foods" as the one-stop-shop for bakery and pastry items in the foodservice, in store
bakery, casual dining and specialty foods arena. It will also further our national distribution channels.
The acquisition is expected to close June 1, 2014.
This is the fifth acquisition for "Fairfield Gourmet Foods" in the past seven years.
