OPPD Awards Contract for Transmission Outage Management Software to Sun-Net
Online, February 11, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Sun-Net Consulting Inc. is proud to announce today that Omaha Public Power District (OPPD), one of the largest publicly owned electric utilities in the United States has selected Sun-Net's TOA Outage Application software suite after a detailed Request for Proposal (RFP) selection process to use as their Transmission Outage Software.
OPPD's headquarters are in Omaha, Nebraska. They currently serve 750,000 people totaling approximately 356,000 electric service locations in 13 counties in southeastern Nebraska, an area totaling 5,000 square miles.
OPPD issued a Request For Proposal to implement a software package to streamline the generation, tracking and auditing of transmission outage requests. Sun-Net was awarded the best evaluated solution with the most expertise in the management of scheduled outages, outage coordination, switch order management, operator and dispatcher logging, interruption entry with reporting and analytics capabilities.
