Comcast Business Class Underwrites ECoast Cloud Summit

For the second consecutive year, Comcast Business Class has joined the eCoast Technology Roundtable as the underwriter of the eCoast Summit. This year's event, the 2012 eCoast Cloud Summit presented by TechWorld, explores cloud computing technology.

A staunch supporter of the region's technology community, Comcast Business Class has joined the 2012 eCoast Cloud Summit presented by TechWorld as the event underwriter. eCoast, a division of the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce and dynamic network of technology professionals, will host the educational, day-long conference on May 11, 2012 from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel. The Summit will explore cloud computing technology and the opportunities and challenges it presents for developers, engineers, and IT professionals.

"Companies are learning more and more about the cloud every day, and they are starting to realize that the speed and dependability of their connection to that cloud are two factors that are an absolute necessity to the success of their business," said Peter Marsh, vice president of Business Services for Comcast's Greater Boston region, which includes New Hampshire. "As the region's fastest and most reliable Internet provider, Comcast Business Class lays a solid foundation for companies moving to the cloud, and we are proud to support the 2012 eCoast Cloud Summit, a symposium of regional thought leaders to foster conversation and stimulate innovation in this evolving area."

The event encompasses two informational tracks: Business & Infrastructure and Software Development. Business & Infrastructure focuses on moving your company's technology infrastructure into the cloud. Some of the region's top cloud technology professionals are set to share their expertise, including representatives from New England Cloud Solutions, the International Association of Privacy Professionals, Iron Mountain, V2 Strategic Advisors, and Axis Business Solutions.

The Software Development track explores application development and configuration for the cloud environment. A who's who list of seasoned veterans, speakers include representatives from Microsoft, Reliable Software, Couchbase, BlueMetal Architects, and Boston Azure. The seminar is appropriate for technology professionals, including administrators, developers, and engineers.

"We are excited and grateful for Comcast's continued support of the annual eCoast summit," says Mark Miller of Axis Business Solutions, Chairperson of the eCoast Development Committee. "Comcast leads a dedicated group of event sponsors who make it possible for us to bring superior, specialized educational programming to the area's eCoast community."

In addition to a full day of informative speakers and presentations, the conference includes exclusive exhibits and networking opportunities. Ticket prices are $95. eCoast, founded in part to provide opportunities for up-and-coming technology professionals and to encourage our youth to remain in New Hampshire, is pleased to offer students a 20% discount.
