During tough financial times 422CHURCH.COM is focused upon giving. Their current project, The Love Offering, is raising $100,000 to give to agencies serving the poor and under-resourced both here and abroad.

"This holiday season is about celebrating the birth of Christ. We traditionally do that by giving gifts to one another, which is a lovely tradition, but wouldn't it be great if our greatest gifts were to Him, Jesus?" Pastor Ed Crenshaw observes while referencing Matthew 25:40, "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'" Crenshaw encourages, "Let's give Jesus a birthday present!"

The project will fund strategic initiatives like clean water wells in third world countries. According to the U.N. children's agency UNICEF, polluted water and the lack of basic sanitation claim the lives of over 1.5 million children every year, mostly from water-borne diseases.

Other initiatives support local agencies like ACLAMO, Laurel House, and Partners for Families that serve those in need among us. "I think Jesus would love a gift like that, don't you?" Crenshaw quips.

422CHURCH.COM is further celebrating Christmas this year with Christmas Eve services at 5 and 8 PM, serving dinner to the homeless and under-resourced in three locations Christmas Day, and with an abbreviated Sunday service schedule of 9 and 10:30 AM on December 26th and January 2nd. "Our Christmas Eve services are an excellent way to observe the evening," states Crenshaw, "with edgy, passionate worship, Christmas carols like you haven't heard before, and a special presentation by our Victory Kids at 5 PM."
