OCiX, a carrier neutral collocation provider, today announced it has enhanced its already high security system with the addition of 32 audio and video surveillance cameras.

OCiX Collocation Data Center employs multiple levels of security including mantraps, access control systems, limited entry points, biometric readers and 24x7x365 manned security. OCiX selected and installed the upgraded D-Link model DCS-3410 which records audio in addition to the traditional video.

The cameras have been strategically installed around the perimeter of the building, at all entrances and exits, at every access point within the building and throughout the aisles of the cages/cabinets. A combination of motion-detection devices, low-light cameras, pan-tilt-zoom cameras and standard fixed cameras provide audio and video footage that is digitally recorded and stored.

"We want to proactively improve all aspects of our collocation operation and establish the highest standards that are expected from our customers", said Bob Tolifson, General Manager of OCiX Data Center Collocation.
