Jason Liptow Announces Candidacy for 97th District

Clare County Democrat Jason Liptow announces candidacy for Michigan House of Representatives for 2010 along with Campaign Kickoff fundraiser on Nov 21, 2009.

HARRISON, MI- Local Democrat Jason Liptow officially announces his candidacy for Michigan House of Representative for the 97th district in 2010. Liptow's campaign kick-off occurs November 21st, from 7-10 pm at the Surrey House in Harrison for a night of hors d'oeuvres, speakers, and live performers.

"We need to stress the importance of keeping jobs in our area and provide sufficient funding to our educational institutes. Our district can't afford to have our jobs and citizens go elsewhere, we need to stress retention" Liptow states. "I plan on working hard to see that our district flourishes for my constituents."

Liptow has a myriad of experience both educationally and professionally. Liptow has accomplished a wide educational background including a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies from Madonna University, a Master's of Science in Business Administration, Operations Management from Madonna University, as well as a teaching certificate for grades 6-12 and a Master's in Education from Saginaw Valley State University.

Professionally, Liptow has had eight years of banking experience, including bank management positions in addition to five years of tax experience. In 2001 Liptow began educating Clare County youth by substitute teaching. Currently he is entering his third year as an Adjunct Instructor at Mid-Michigan Community College.

Liptow stresses the importance of funding education as it becomes more vital to complete formal education in a transitional economy. Furthermore, Liptow emphasizes the need to bring innovative businesses to the Mid-Michigan area that can offer high paying jobs in order to retain our residences. In addition, Liptow hopes to see the 97th district maintain a safe, hazard-free, green environment as a basis and foundation to agriculture and tourism of the area.

Liptow invites all to join him November 21st at the Surrey House in Harrison from 7-10pm. Hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar are available to those who attend, as well as a live performance from a local favorite- Running from Infinity. Liptow will further explain his platform as well as answer questions from concerned citizens. Tickets are available for $15.
