Expressing Motherhood is headed to San Francisco, Sioux Falls and Boston this Fall. The hit, national play that consists of stories about motherhood shared on stage will be accepting submissions for all three cities on June 1st.

This will be Expressing Motherhood's first time in San Francisco and Sioux Falls and a return to Boston since it was there in 2010. Show creator Lindsay Kavet is excited to expand the show to more cities.

"We are looking for stories about motherhood, no acting experience required!"

Lindsay Kavet, Co-Creator/Director

"The show was built for the person with a burning desire to tap into their creative side again," says Kavet. The show launched in 2008 by two stay at home moms, Kavet and Jessica Cribbs has developed a huge following off and on line. Moving, captivating stories that cover all people and all kinds of stories are welcome.

Pieces can either be read, skits can be performed, songs can be sung. Though most people will share their monologues the show is not stuck to that.

Past performers have included many non-famous moms as well as a few established bloggers and actors such as Elizabeth Jayne Liu, Rebecca Woolf, Beth Littleford and Kristen Chase. The audience has been packed over the years with the likes of lots of moms and people like Mel Brooks, Molly Shannon and Camryn Manheim.

Expressing Motherhood is looking for pieces that when read aloud are no longer then 5 minutes long. They should be emailed to the producer in charge of each city. For the San Francisco show email the show's creator Kavet at : lindsay(at)expressingmotherhood.com.
