Colonial Williamsburg Pulls Back the Curtain and Gives Guests Behind-the-Scenes Access and Experiences

Online, January 9, 2012 (Newswire.com) - This winter, Colonial Williamsburg will give guests the opportunity to go behind the scenes and explore components of Colonial Williamsburg not usually open to the public. Guests can speak with performing artists about set creation, script writing, and concert development; tour the Costume Design Center to learn how Historic Area interpreters are outfitted; or learn about rare ceramics at the Art Museums. Colonial Williamsburg Hotel Guests and Annual Pass Holders have access to even more, with chances to see artifacts from recent excavations or watch the latest conservation efforts. Guests of the Williamsburg Inn and Colonial Houses can explore the Design Studio to learn about how fabrics, wall coverings and furniture are selected for the hotels.
