Boston Dentist Offers Full Mouth Reconstruction

Dr. Jeffrey Cummings gives a previously hopeless patient a new healthy mouth and a new confidence

Many people experience a high level of anxiety when it comes time to go to the dentist, whether it is due to a bad experience as a child, or pain some people avoid the dentist for years. Years of neglect can lead to a number of mouth and teeth issues—which in turn, leads to embarrassment and more putting off of dental visits. Dr. Jeffrey Cummings of Massachusetts' Restore Teeth sees patients in this scenario all the time.

"There are a lot of people like this. These people had bad experiences with the dentist as a child or young adult and simply refused to go. After enough time, in most cases over 10 years, they can not take it anymore and start looking for a dentist and often find us," said Dr. Cummings.

This was exactly the case for a woman who came into Dr. Cummings' practice. The dentist estimates the work and amount of time that it will take to get the neglected mouth up to healthy par. He says most patients can not believe how fast it can be done, and in how few appointments.

Cummings' patient had 90 percent of her work done in one visit. "We had completed in one visit, her periodontal work, extractions, four root canals and thirteen fillings," says Cummings.

Inside of a month, a patient who had avoided dental work for nearly 20 years was able to have a new, beautiful and healthy smile. Dr. Cummings invites anyone with dentist phobia to visit his photo gallery and view his full mouth reconstruction photos.
