Avamere and Signature Healthcare at Home Give Back to Support Cancer Research
WILSONVILLE, Ore., July 15, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Avamere Living and Signature Healthcare at Home team members banded together to show their support for cancer awareness and research.
As part of the Avamere Family of Companies, the team attended and sponsored the Relay for Life -- a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society -- June 22 at the Chemawa Indian School in Salem, Oregon.
“The Relay for Life really puts life into prospective,” said Scott Mills, Account Manager with Signature Healthcare at Home. “Being around survivors of cancer who have gone through a horrific ordeal helps you understand what courage and determination they have.”

Many people thanked the team for supporting and sponsoring the Relay for Life, Mills said. An 18-year-old girl personally approached Mills.
“I found out she had been diagnosed with cancer at the age of 15,” Mills said. “This just brought tears to my eyes, but I realized our support was in the right place.”
